Notas sobre el género Gouania (Rhamnaceae) en Cuba

Resumen

El género Gouania de la familia Rhamnaceae está representado en Cuba por tres taxones. La posición y estructura del zarcillo en este género,
constituyen los principales caracteres diagnósticos para diferenciarlo del resto de las trepadoras con zarcillos de Cuba y la posición de las alas,
coloración e indumento en el fruto son caracteres diagnósticos que permiten discriminar entre los taxones del género y se utilizan para elaborar la clave de identificación. Los taxones del género Gouania habitan fundamentalmente en matorrales de toda Cuba.

ABSTRACT
The genus Gouania of Rhamnaceae is represent in Cuba by three taxa. The position and structure of the tendrils on the genus are the main diagnostic characters for differentiate it from the tendrillated family climbers of Cuba and the position of the wings, coloration, and indumentum of the fruit are diagnostic characters that alow to discriminate among the genus taxa and they are used to elaborate the identification key. The taxa of Gouania mostly live in thickets all over the country.
